FAQ
Our replacement blades for robotic lawnmowers are made of high-quality stainless steel, and most of them feature a durable titanium coating. Thanks to this titanium alloy, our robotic lawnmower blades are significantly more durable than conventional steel blades. The material is particularly robust, corrosion-resistant, and ensures that the blades stay sharp longer – for a clean, precise, and efficient lawn cut every time.
Our replacement blades are produced exclusively according to our specifications by one of Europe's most renowned manufacturers . Through this close collaboration, we ensure that our customers receive consistently high quality .
In addition, strict quality controls guarantee consistently reliable premium quality that you can rely on with every cut.
The frequency with which you should change your blades depends on the intensity of use .
On average, however, we recommend changing the blades approximately every 12 to 24 months to ensure optimal cutting performance.
With intensive use or when there are visible signs of wear, more frequent replacement may be necessary.
Our replacement blades are compatible with a wide range of robotic and lawn mower models. However, it's important to check the product specifications and your robotic or lawn mower model to ensure compatibility. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our customer service.

Your robotic lawnmower should be stored in the basement by the time the first frost or snow falls. Here are a few tips on how to properly winterize your robotic lawnmower so you can easily reinstall it in the spring.
When should you winterize your robotic lawnmower?
How long the robotic lawnmower stays outside depends on the weather conditions. The following rule of thumb applies: The battery of your robotic lawnmower should never be exposed to subzero temperatures! Therefore, the robotic lawnmower should be removed from the garden in good time and stored in the basement: Even if there is no snow yet, frosty nights can damage your robotic lawnmower.
Step 1: Dismantle the charging station
After the last cut, the robotic lawnmower should be fully recharged in the charging station. Afterward, you can disassemble the robot and the charging station. To do this, disconnect the cables from the charging station. Clean the charging station with a dry brush as needed, removing any grass clippings and soil. The boundary wire remains outdoors over the winter. Simply protect the loose cable connections with insulating tape or a plastic bag to ensure the cable connections stay dry.
Step 2: Clean the robotic lawnmower
Cleaning the robotic lawnmower is easy. The process is roughly the same for all models and brands:
• Set the main switch of the robotic lawnmower to “Off”
• Remove the housing and remove grass residue with a vacuum cleaner
• Remove stubborn grass residues with compressed air or a dry brush (under no circumstances should you use a high-pressure cleaner or water hose!)
• Reassemble the housing and polish it with a (slightly damp) microfiber cloth if necessary
While cleaning, also check the condition of the blades. If they're still in good condition, you can simply leave them in place over the winter. Otherwise, unscrew the blades and replace them with new ones in the spring.
Note: To minimize the risk of injury during cleaning, it is advisable for inexperienced users to wear gloves when cleaning and changing blades!
Step 3: Store the robotic lawnmower correctly
Most models (Husqvarna, Gardena, Bosch, and Worx Landroid) can simply be stored together with the charging station in a dry, not too cold location. The basement is ideal for storage.
Important: Be sure to store the robot in a horizontal position, as otherwise the battery may be damaged. Place it horizontally on the floor and do not hang it on a wall.
Once the robotic lawnmowers mentioned above have been put into storage, you won't have to worry about anything else until you put them back into operation next spring. Things are a little different with Robomow robotic lawnmowers.
Robomow robotic lawnmower: Charge every 3 months
The lithium-iron polymer battery in Robomow robots requires a bit more intensive maintenance during the winter. If the battery is stored for more than three months, the manufacturer recommends charging it every three months. For this purpose, Robomow offers a special power pack that can be easily connected to the robotic lawnmower for charging.
Now I wish you lots of fun in your garden and with your robot next spring. Just don't forget to have new, sharp blades ready for when the robot starts mowing.
Can I change the blades on my robot quickly and easily or does a specialist have to change the blades?
With most models, the replacement blades are very easy to replace yourself. You usually only need the new replacement blades and, depending on the model, a screwdriver or Allen key.
In most cases, you can replace your replacement blades yourself, as the process is fairly straightforward and only requires basic tools .
However, if you have never changed blades before or feel unsure, we recommend seeking professional help.
For robotic lawnmower models with boundary cables, the cable break can possibly be located using a multimeter and an FM radio .
You can find two videos about this at the following link ( https://youtu.be/Ldwjumo7TjM and https://youtu.be/P18ktNfqtxo ).
You can find cable connectors and boundary cables in our shop.
Robotic lawnmower installation: 3 methods for laying the boundary wire
Installing a robotic lawnmower with a boundary wire is crucial for reliable operation. Depending on the size of your garden and soil conditions, you have three different methods available:
Laying boundary cables with a cable laying machine (for rent) The easiest and most efficient method for installing a robotic lawnmower is to use a cable laying machine , which you can rent directly on this website This makes laying the boundary cable quick, clean, and effortless—ideal for DIY enthusiasts. In an average-sized garden, installation takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the soil and surface conditions. The cable is embedded approximately 3–4 cm deep into the soil, providing permanent protection—neither lawnmowers nor scarifiers can damage it.
Above-ground installation with ground stakes . With this method, the boundary cable is laid above ground and secured with ground stakes. While installation is simple, the cable is initially susceptible to damage. It only grows into the ground over time.
Manual installation with a spade : If you want to install the boundary wire manually , you can use a spade to create a narrow slit. This method is physically demanding and particularly difficult on hard ground. Furthermore, the wire can easily slip out of the slit.
Tip: If you want a quick and professional robotic lawnmower installation , we recommend renting a cable laying machine – this saves time, effort and guarantees a clean result.
